I notice this energy within myself some days. That feeling I refer to as “defying gravity”. This energy that lifts my feet off the ground and carrys me. I look forward to that bulletproof attitude on those days. But then the other days im very firmly on the ground and the gravity seems stronger than before. I find my self struggling in an uphill battle.

When you feel life is going against you, and you’re fighting an uphill battle, the inner voice calls out to you to give up. Is it worth fighting a losing battle? The choice is yours. You know your situation best. But I’ll ask you this, what is worse, the pain of loss or the weight of regret? Each situation and scenario has its own factors but from my life experiences, it’s easier to move on from a loss than it is to get over a regret.

The Birds

During this uphill battle, you’ve decided to push on, loss is better than never trying at all. But what if because of that effort, you managed to win, you got to the top of the hill. You won’t know until you try. Today’s quote reminds me of this:

[su_quote cite=”Quran 16:79″ url=”https://quran.com/16/79″]Have they not seen the birds glide in the open sky? None holds them up except Allah. Surely in this are signs for those who believe.[/su_quote]

I’m accompanying this quote with the following hadeeth:

[su_note note_color=”#F5F5F5″]’Umar bin Al-Khattab narrated that the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said:

“If you were to rely upon Allah with the required reliance, then He would provide for you just as a bird is provided for, it goes out in the morning empty, and returns full.”

al-Tirmidhi #2344[/su_note]

How many times have you watched a football match and one team is losing 3-0 and by the final whistle, they’ve turned things around and won 4-3. Look back at your life and remember a time when you tried and won. Think about the mundane routine days that suddenly become spontaneous adventures you never dreamed of happening. You don’t know what the future holds.

Empowering and fist pumping! The king didn’t know reinforcements were arriving, if he gave up, his kingdom would have been taken. He tried, help came from an unexpected source and he won the battle.

Summary

You won’t know until you try! Step outside your bubble, your comfort zone. Who knows what the future holds?

My closing quote is not 100% related but still pretty cool:

[su_quote]Birds that are born in a cage think that freedom is a crime[/su_quote]
